Now that I am in my fifth year of teaching, I find that I am well prepared for the academic rigor required for student growth. However, managing the exigencies of human nature requires wise and collaborative counsel, ingenuity, consistency, and patience for which only experience can teach and refine. I love teaching and strive to make a positive difference in the lives of my students; I also enjoy working with children and continue to enjoy a rewarding career.

Thanks to the efforts of the Faculty and Staff at Valdosta State University (2011) and the University of West Georgia (2013), I am a fully certified teacher in the state of Georgia. I hold undergraduate degrees in Special Education Interrelated/Early Childhood and Political Science and a Master’s Degree in Special Education with a reading endorsement; thus, I am an interrelated reading teacher for 6th, 7th, and 8th grades.

In my spare time, I enjoy volunteering in service to others. From working with my local political party, church, and community newsletter to volunteering with the band at my son’s high school, to working with the Atlanta Falcons as they host the 2019 Super Bowl, my service to others remains an integral part of my life. The same holds true here at TMS where I volunteer with the Chorus, as Chorus Mom, the Hispanic Heritage Committee, the Black History Program, and the school’s newspaper as faculty sponsor.
