Dear Parents and Guardians,

I appreciate you following COVID Protocols. We have not had a documented case of COVID being transmitted here at TMS. I am deeply appreciative of the support of our students and parents. Almost without exception, students have followed our safety guidelines and have cooperated with a host of new procedures.

Many of our students who opted to learning from home have struggled to perform at an acceptable level. We need a greater partnership with you if you opt for your students to learn from home. Sending an email or calling teachers every couple of weeks would suffice to ensure you are truly informed of your child's performance.

Our teachers and other staff members have done an amazing job considering the juggling act that we have asked them to perform during this pandemic. We could not be successful without the support of everyone.

As we approach the end of the first semester, we need to know the learning preference for your child for the second semester which begins January 6, 2021.

Please go to the link below before or on December 10 to let us know if your child will learn from home through School-Based Digital Learning (SBDL) or will learn in person at school (F2F). Please note that students enrolled in FLEX Academy will continue in FLEX for the entire school year.

It is vital that we know your preference by December 10. You will again have the opportunity to change your method of learning for the fourth nine-week period, which begins March 11, 2021.

I have appreciated your partnership thus far, but I would love to have greater participation. My hope is that we all learn and grow from this experience and pick up new skills that will benefit us long past COVID-19.

Sincerely,

Darron E. Franklin, Principal
