Parents

Turner recognizes from practical experience and from research that parents are vitally important to student success. The role of parents in student academic, behavioral and  emotional development is key. The stronger the relationship Turner forges with parents the more success they will experience. Our goal is to foster a partnership with our parents to improve student outcomes.

Parents can be involved through the Title I Parent Advisory Council, Local School Council, PTA/PTSA, Partners in Education, Co-Curricular activities like Beta Club, Band, Chorus and extra-curricular activities offered at the school and the community. Building relationships with those adults who work with students are a great strategy to assist parents in facilitating the success of their students. Through those, there are a myriad of volunteer opportunities.
